  • EGG TIMER Fashioned From A Lancashire Weaving Loom Bobbin
When the cotton industry collapsed in England in the mid 1900's and the Mills closed down there was a great deal of unused machinery left around. Enterprising folk looked at ways of utilising pieces of the machinery to try and make money and these EGG TIMERS were one result of their efforts. This Bobbin Egg Timer is 4 3/4" tall with steel caps at either end. A neat little piece of some historical interest. The cotton industry in Lancashire and the North of England began in the late 1700's and peaked around 1912...World War one stopped a lot of the exports and and in between WW1 and WW2 the industry was in a general decline with closure of most factories occurring by the 1960's to 1970's.

Now here is an item that is seldom found these days...a "must have" for those decorators of Victorian Kitchens. The Cleaner is marked .... "WALLWORKS PATENT"....and ...."The Electric Knife Cleaner". It is made of cast iron with pieces of cork on the inner. There are holes in the top where I think maybe some type of cleaning fluid was poured and the knife was inserted on the side between the cork slabs and moved back and forth. • Vintage Large Mazawatte Tea Tin
This large tea tin measures 8 1/2" x 5 1/4" and stands 5 1/2" in height. The lid hinges have rusted through so the lid is actually detached...also has some rust. A nice example.

  • Original 19th Century Chestnut Roaster
This lovely old solid brass CHESTNUT ROASTER has a Windmill scene on the pan lid so probably originated in Holland....there is no makers mark however but the Dutch were big makers of brass ware in the 1800's and early 1900's exporting large quantities of items into England and other European countries. Because of the lovely Windmill and Sailboat decoration being done in repousse this really is a very appealing decorative item for a kitchen or fireside. There are plenty of wear signs but the piece is in good condition is good for age...Circa 1880-1900......and the length is 20 1/4" inches, with the Chestnut Pan being just over 5 1/4" square.

  • Regency Period Coffee Urn Circa Early to Mid 1800's
This wonderfully elegant coffee urn stands 13" in height and is 6 1/2" at its widest point.
