    This little "Race Book" Program is complete with the original owners penciled-in "Pick" and notations. Greymouth is a small town on the West Coast of New Zealand's South Island and was, back then, this countries main Coal Mining center. The Program is 5 1/4 x 4 1/4 inches and has 30 pages plus cover.Condition is pretty good....a little moth bitten on some page edges but no major rips or tears.

    This very nice deep red/brown Bakelite Trinket Box was made as a Souvenir for the Royal Tour to New Zealand of King George VI. Due to the ill health of His Royal Highness the tour was cancelled so this type of memorabilia of "The Tour that never was" is now highly sought after. The box measures 8 1/2 x 4 1/2 inches and is in excellent all over condition.

  • US Navy Destroyer U.S.S. DE HAVEN DD727 Souvenir Ashtray
    A nice ashtray in close to Mint condition measuring 6" in diameter. The DE HAVEN DD727 was an Allen M. Summer Class Destroyer commissioned in in March 1944 and saw action in the Phillipines, and Japan, towards the end of WW11. She later had two Tours of Duty in the Korean War. In 1973 she was sold to Korea and served in the Korean Navy as the INCHEON. She was scrapped in 1993

    This is a professionally made piece produced as a Commemorative Souvenir for The Silver Jubilee of King George V and Queen Mary in 1935. The centre picture piece is printed cardboard by the look of it and this sits on an embossed Doil'y and the under base board has a silver metalized finish.The top is glass covered. Diameter is 10 inches. King George V passed away in 1936.

  • IL DUCE Benito Mussolini Patriotic Postcard 1930's
    This is an unused 1930's postcard in pretty good shape...has a few creases and a cut corner but otherwise fine. I am not certain who the General is pictured with Mussolini but the card has Africa with the Italian Hawk superimposed over it so ...?? Italy controlled Eritrea and Somalia in the 1930's but then decided they'd like Abyssinia also and invaded this country in 1935. The invasion was led by General Pietro Badoglio so possibly this is he ? (Now advised by Jim Yates that this is in fact King Victor Emmanuel 111...thanks Jim!) It was the sanctions by the United Nations due to this invasion that caused Italy to form her Alliance with Adolf Hitler's Germany. Marked Cartolina Postale and Grafiche IGAPO Roma, on reverse. Nice historical card.

  • Victorian Brooch Hand Painted on Porcelain With Jet Mount
    I would think this brooch dates to around 1880 -1900.....probably the beautiful lady hand painted on the porcelain was the original owner of the brooch. The brooch is OVAL measuring 1 1/2" 1 1/8"....the surround looks to be 9 carat gold as it has not tarnished....can not see any markings. The porcelain piece has been mounted on to a solid base of JET 1 /4" thick...... a piece of the jet on the back has broken off at some time in the past....not at all noticeable from the front. The back pin mount we think is brass with the pin itself being copper. Really lovely item for a collector of Victorian jewelry.

    This fabulous old Nutcracker would have been sold as an "On-board Souvenir" on the Shaw Savill Liner SOUTHERN CROSS back in the 1950's-60's.The Ships Wheel is missing one spoke which I am sure can be replaced. Otherwise the condition is very good. To "crack a Nut" you spin the wheel out..insert the Nut....spin the wheel back back again ....and CRACK!. Bowl diameter is 7 inches.

    An unusual Victorian Era Fob Chain fashioned in a rope of Human Hair with 9 carat gold collar mounts. The Bar part and clips with links are gold plated. It is made up of 2 ropes at 6 1/2" and one of just 2". The hair rope has a diameter of 5/16 of an inch. Definitely a real collectors piece!     A GENUINE older piece measuring 25 inches in length, or 51 inches including the ties.The lady we sourced this from 'thought' she got it in Morocco about 20 years ago but as she had traveled widely throughout North Africa, Egypt etc she was a bit uncertain of its exact origin.....the belt has about 40 old coins on it plus loads of little bells plus beads and fabric decoration.     A truly lovely old 'Mason's Jewel' in original Auckland Retail Jewelers Case and complete with ribbon and bar. The medal is in Sterling Silver with Hallmarks for London1897 and the makers name G.K. which is George Knight of Kensington London.There is gilt to some parts and also some enamel work.The Diamond shape with Queen Victoria's head to center has spinels or rhinestones in the border. The ribbon has some rips but is still partially attached to its bar.

    This looks like it could me more from the New Guinea region but I really have no real knowledge of the origin. This is definitely an older mask...not one of the cheap touristy ones...has a good age feel with great patina..the wood has the waxy aged feel to it. This mask is 16" x 14" and is in great condition. This engraving has a very small hole just at the end on the Chiefs litter, but otherwise the condition of both is remarkably good.
