For a 300 plus years old coin this is in very good condition....made of bronze and measuring 1 1/8" in diameter. Jetons were token or coin-like medals produced across Europe from the 13th through the 17th centuries. They were produced as counters for use in calculation on a lined board similar to an abacus. They also found use as a money substitute in games, similar to modern casino chips or poker chips. Thousands of different jetons exist, mostly of religious and educational designs, as well as portraits..... most resembling coinage.

  • Trench Art Cigarette Lighter Circa 1914-1918
This is an unusual one in that one side has an American 'Barber' Half Dollar coin and on the other side is a Kruger 1908 Half Crown coin. I'm thinking that the Lighter was probably made during World War One when the British, American, and Colonial forces were Allies in Europe, and elsewhere around the World. The Lighter is 1 1/2" in diameter not including the striker extension. Metal looks to be brass that has later been silver plated.
