Vintage Ladies Brass Purse Ashtray

This is a rather fascinating little item from the days when a "fashionable lady" carried her own little ashtray with her. I would think this is probably from around the very early 1900's. The condition is excellent with no corrosion...does have a couple of little dents but they just add to the charm of the piece. Measures 3 1/2 x 2 1/2 ".
