Vintage WW11 Era Pennant of HMCS ONTARIO

Vintage WW11 Era Pennant of HMCS ONTARIO
Launched in the UK in July 1943 and named HMS Minotaur but transferred to the Royal Canadian Navy and named HMCS Ontario upon completion. Was rammed by a chilean merchant vessel on the Rio del Plata as she was sailing towards Buenos Aires. She was repaired in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as no suitable dry-docks were available closer. Paid off on 15 October 1958. She arrived at Osaka, Japan for breaking up on 19 November 1960. This felt pennant is 19" in length. It is missing about 1/2" off the tip and has some ragged bits at the broad end also.
