Vintage WW11 Pennant from HMS JAGUAR, Royal Navy Destroyer

Vintage WW11 Pennant from HMS JAGUAR, Royal Navy Destroyer
Royal Navy Class J Destroyer, built by William Denny & Brothers Dumbarton, Scotland. Laid down: 25 Nov, 1937 Launched: 22 Nov, 1938 Commissioned: 12 Sep, 1939 Lost: 26 Mar, 1942 HMS Jaguar (Lt.Cdr. L.R.K. Thyrwitt, DSO, DSC, RN) was hit by two torpedoes from the German submarine U-652. The ship caught fire and sank in a short time. Three officers and 190 ratings were lost. Eight officers and 45 ratings were picked up by the armed whaler HMS Klo and taken to Tobruk. Hit by U-boat Sunk on 26 Mar, 1942 by U-652 (Fraatz). This felt / linen Pennant measures 17 3/4" in length and is in extremely good condition for a cloth item of 60 plus years of age with no holes or rips at all. A wonderful, and I would think quite rare item, considering this Destroyer was sunk after only some 2 1/2 years in operation.
