1853 First Edition of MR SPONGE'S Sporting Tour

A great old First Edition By Author R.S. Surtees, published in London 1853 By BRADBURY & EVANS, Bouverie Street. Beautifully illustrated by John Leech with 13 gorgeous full page hand coloured Steel Engravings and over 80 smaller wood engravings.The book HAS 408 pages & measures 9" x 6" and is quite tight on the spine with only minor age wear and spotting for age. There is about a 2" split in the front cover on bind join plus rips at top and bottom of bind cover. There is some general cover fade and age wear. Similar books are advertising online at over US$850 and the individual hand coloured engravings sell for US$35 PLUS EACH.
