T.S.M.V. Wanganella Matchbox Holder Circa 1930's
The Wanganella was built in 1929-31 entering service for the Huddart-Parker Company of Sydney in 1932. She was only 9.360 ton and was mainly engaged on the Trans Tasman Route but in 1941 was converted too a Hospital Ship for the duration of WW11. She was Scrapped 1961. This Matchbox Holder is chromed brass with the insignia of the H.P. Flag on a Ships Wheel and T.S.M.V Wanganella inscribed under.. Condition Very Good.
